When Innovation Meets Community: Inside the Nobia Park Opening
How did everything start?
When Nobia inaugurated Nobia Park in Jönköping, it marked more than the opening of a new factory. The facility represents the largest investment in the company’s history and is described as Europe’s most modern kitchen manufacturing site. Built with advanced automation, digitalization and Scandinavian design at its core, the factory runs on 100 percent renewable energy and is certified with BREEAM Excellence. It is designed to demonstrate how Swedish industry can contribute to the green transition.
The event planning
Planning for the communication around the event began about ten months before the inauguration. From the first save the date message to invitations and registration, the team focused on creating clear and consistent communication. In the weeks leading up to the event, Ventla’s event app was introduced as a central platform for both information and engagement.
The goal was to provide participants with the practical information they needed while also building anticipation ahead of the event. When participants arrived in Jönköping, they were already familiar with the structure of the days and could focus on the program and conversations rather than logistics.
For Marbodal, Nobia Park is an important step forward. The new production environment enables innovations such as ToneTech™ and PrimeShell™, where design, quality and sustainability come together to create clear customer value. At the same time, the inauguration was not only about presenting a new facility. It was also an opportunity to gather leaders, retailers, partners and sales teams to anchor the company’s long term vision and future ambitions.
“We know from experience that the more carefully you work through communication from the beginning, the better the event will be in the end,” says Jenny Nyström.
Participants were encouraged to register early, download the event app and create personal profiles. This allowed interaction to begin before the event itself and helped build connections among attendees. The two day event was also divided into separate digital channels in the app so participants only received information relevant to their attendance.
During the inauguration, the app supported the experience with agenda updates, information points and interactive elements that encouraged participation. When last minute changes occurred, updated information could be shared instantly with the right participants.

Creating clarity without noise
With a two-day programme and multiple target groups, relevance became a key challenge. The solution was a segmented communication structure within the event app, where participants only received information related to their specific attendance.
This reduced information overload and ensured that communication felt both personal and purposeful.
At the same time, close collaboration between Nobia and Marbodal ensured consistency. While Nobia handled overarching event information at the factory site, Marbodal curated its own programme and messaging for activities held at Elmia in Jönköping.
Real-time flexibility
As with any large-scale event, last-minute changes were inevitable. The digital setup made it possible to distribute updates instantly to the right audiences, without creating confusion.
During the event itself, the app played a central role. Agendas, push notifications, interactive features and competitions helped maintain engagement and foster a sense of participation.

“We know from experience that the more carefully you work through communication, the better the event will be” says Jenny Nyström.
Communication and clarity, as the outcome
After the event, feedback made it clear that communication had played a decisive role in shaping the overall experience. Participants felt informed and well prepared, which created a calm and confident atmosphere on site. This, in turn, allowed conversations to focus on vision, strategy and future direction, rather than practical details.
The inauguration of Nobia Park thus became more than the opening of a production facility. It demonstrated how thoughtful, structured communication can drive engagement, strengthen commitment and foster a genuine sense of pride among participants, leaving a lasting impact well beyond the event itself.
